Meet Someday Rae

So, what's the story? When my husband and I first moved into our home, I was adamant about having built-ins around our fireplace. We had them custom-made, and I had this vision of how beautiful they would be styled. ​Fast forward to when they were complete… I kid you not, it took me over a year to decorate them. And even after all that time, I still wasn’t happy with them!

They just felt off — like a collection of cluttered knick-knacks sitting on a shelf instead of the styled, elevated look I had in my head. No matter how many times I rearranged them, something never felt quite right.

So I started searching for inspiration. I dug into Pinterest and Instagram, following home decor and lifestyle creators who had the exact shelf styling I was trying to achieve. ​Every shelf I loved ended up being linked to five plus retailers. Half of the items were sold out. Or the links were broken. The process was not easy and honestly, discouraging. All I kept thinking was: why can’t I just add the whole shelf to my cart?!
